Let’s Hop Around Like Kangaroos

by Allan Wolf

The Poetry Friday Anthology

Let’s hop around like kangaroos!
A kanga-me. A kanga-you.
Let’s hop around like kangas do.
Let’s hop like kangaroos.

Let’s clink a pot. Let’s clank a pan.
Let’s clunk on metal kanga cans.
Let’s clang like only kangas can.
Let’s clang like kangaroos.

Let’s march our feet and clap our hands.
Let’s form a kanga marching band
and march our way to Kanga-land.
Let’s march like kangaroos.

And you can be a kanga too!

About this Poem

This is a great poem to act out! I’ve got a thing for kangaroos. I’ve always wanted to keep one in my back yard, but my wife won’t let me.
