The Popcorn Hop

by Stephanie Calmenson

Kindergarten Kids: Riddles, Rebuses, Wiggles, Giggles, and More! by Stephanie CalmensonPut your popcorn
in a pot.
Wait till it gets
really hot.

When you start to
feel the heat,
Listen for the
popcorn beat:

Pop-pop-POP-pop
pop-pop-POP!
Come and do the
popcorn hop!

About This Poem

I hope you enjoyed reading “Popcorn Hop.”   I tried to make the words sound like popcorn popping.  Did I succeed?
